Buy a Plank Scheme

The restoration of the hull requires thick planks of Spotted Gum. The timber is being sourced from Australia and is being cut and milled by Australian workers. Each 6 metre timber plank costs $500. You can choose to buy a whole plank ($500), half plank ($250) or whatever you feel you want to give.

Donate Online Or By Donation Form

It’s possible to donate online so head on over to our ‘online donation‘ area. It’s very simple and easy to use.

If you prefer to donate through the National Trust you can do so by using this printable form Buy a Plank Donation Form (PDF).

Honour Board

Thank you to those that have donated to the ‘Buy a Plank’ scheme. We have an Honour Board to recognise the efforts of these people. Take a look at the new Honour Board.

For more details on sponsorship options see the packages below.

Note: All donations to the Alma Doepel go towards the restoration of the ship. A minimal amount is taken by administration/other (4% National Trust, small percentage by PayPal). Sail and Adventure Ltd is a not for profit organisation run entirely by volunteers with very little administrative overheads.
